CBS news stated that Nugent, a supporter of former president Trump, was in agony after months of denying that Covid was “not a real pandemic”.

Nugent stated this:

“I thought I was dying,” and he added, "I literally could hardly crawl out of bed the last few days," adding, "So I was officially tested positive for COVID-19 today."

According to billboard.com, Snoop paid a tribute to his friend and fellow rapper while stopping by on the Today Show which aired on April 16th. Fans praised the “Verzuz” battle between Snoop and DMX as one of the last celebrations of Ruff Ryder’s music legacy, and snippets of the battle were shown.

"Love u brother. C u when I get there," Snoop wrote under one of the videos, and he added in, "What they thought was a battle ended up being a family reunion. Of 2 Doggs who loved everything about each other, thank U. X for loving me back."

Roger Waters Sets Rescheduled Tour Dates

The tour was originally for 2020, but due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, it will be kicking off in Pittsburgh on July 6th, 2022. Tickets are on sale at rogerwaters.com, and the tickets for 2020 will be honored for the new dates as well. Moreover, tickets holders from 2020 will get an email regarding the new dates.

DMX on Life Support

Anyways, this latest news is quite depressing in the music world as rapper, DMX, is currently on life support due to a heart attack in White Plains, New York.

According to CNN, the rapper suffered a heart attack at around 11:00 pm on a Friday at his home in White Plains. He was taken via ambulance to a local hospital where he remains on a ventilator. His attorney, Murray Richman, said the cause of the heart attack is unknown. The family has reached out to the community for prayers, well wishes, and positive thoughts as well as respect for their privacy during this tough moment.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to DMX, as we hope he pulls through for a speedy recovery.

NorCal’s biggest country music festival won’t happen

This latest news is quite unfortunate as Northern California’s Country music festival has been postponed for a second year in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic. The festival was set in Santa Rosa, but it is now postponed to June 17-19th of 2022.

Mercury News stated that the tickets purchased for this year will be honored to use at the 2022 dates. However, if current ticket holders want an exchange or a refund, that option will be available also.

Country Summer regularly features more that 20 acts performing on two stages. The most recent outing drew in more than 30,000 fans to see Tim McGraw back in 2019. Until then, hang in there and be patient as it won’t be long until things are back to normal. Stay safe and peace out!

Hollywood Vampires Cancel Upcoming UK And European Tour

Their Instagram page posted this statement about their upcoming tour in August and September:

"We are beyond disappointed to announce that the Hollywood Vampires must cancel our rescheduled UK/European tour this Summer. We kept trying to make it happen, but unfortunately due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 travel restrictions, it is just not possible. Full refunds will be honored through your original point of purchase.
"Thank you for understanding, and we WILL be back rocking with you once the world returns to normal!"

The Coachella festival takes place on the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, and Riverside public health officer, Dr. Cameron Kaiser, signed an order in January nixing the April dates due to pandemic concerns. However, the new dates are still waiting to be released.

Live concerts, a crucial space for independent artists, are at a risk of going out of business due to Covid. Moreover, at risk for Music industry giants to buy them out. However, there is a silver lining of all this because of the pandemic. There have been more independent bands, artists, and music today than ever before where distribution is more simplified nowadays, helping those independent artists live and make their dreams happen.

San Diego Comic Con Cancelled for In Person

This latest news is so sudden as we all know, we are not quite through the woods of the coronavirus pandemic yet as San Diego Comic Con for this year in 2021 has cancelled their in person event and will remain virtual.

A statement came out from the official Comic Con website saying that even though people are getting vaccinated for Covid-19, it is still too early to safely hold an in-person event of the magnitude of Comic Con. Despite the tough decision, Comic Con will remain virtual and will postpone the in-person event until the dates of 2022.

Although Comic Con has gone virtual for the second year in the row, it is shorter as it only lasts three days according to comicbook.com. However, there is a silver lining among all this as there are plans in the works for an in-person three day Comic Con later this year around November, so stay tuned for that.

Daft Punk Are Calling it Quits

LEGO Vidiyo music video creator launches

According to CNN, he was charged with DWI, reckless driving, and consuming alcohol in a closed area. Moreover, Jeep debuted an ad commercial that starred Springsteen as a message that calls for national unity. However, due to his arrest, the spokesperson of Jeep explained that the company will pause the spot. Since his arrest, the commercial was pulled from Jeep’s YouTube channel.

"It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate,"

and then added in,

Live Nation sues Insurance Company over Covid-19 Losses

Anyways, this latest news is about the entertainment giant being at it again, Live Nation, as they have filed a lawsuit with their insurance company regarding Covid-19 coverages.

According to billboard.com, Live Nation is suing their insurance company over hundreds of millions in losses in revenue due to the pandemic. They claimed that Factory Mutual is refusing to honor the premium policy that sold the promoter despite diseases like Covid-19 being covered.

Edmtunes.com stated that Live Nation claims that the Covid-19 outbreaks have affected 35 venues and locations, and that there were also 62 infections of its employees during the first few months of the pandemic in early 2020.

However, it turns out that Live Nation isn’t the only one filing a lawsuit as entities like NYU, Atlanta Falcons, and Ralph Lauren are also involved in the growing list. Factory Mutual stated that their loss only applies to “physical” damage, not by mandated governments or a shut down.

Cloris Leachman passed at 94

She had won an Oscar for her work on “The Last Picture Show” along with the shows, “Malcolm in the Middle” and “Raising Hope”.

Moreover, she had made an appearance in three Mel Brooks films such as “Young Frankenstein” , “High Anxiety”, and “History of the World Part I”. Remembering TV Legend, Larry King

Anyways, this latest news is quite devastating to a lot of us as the iconic TV and radio host, Larry King has passed away at 87.

According to Rollingstone, King has battled a series of health problems including prostate cancer and type-two diabetes as well as a heart attack back in 1987. However, it wasn’t until January 2, 2021 where it was revealed that King was tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized 10 days earlier. It wasn’t until January 23, 2021, he passed away.

Despite his passing though, he left a great legacy of being on air via CNN for over 25 years.
