Artists have come together to save the Independent stages including The Foo
Fighters, Miley Cyrus, YG, Reba McEntire, and Leon Bridges are all coming in to
raise funds and awareness to Independent venues to prevent from closing its
doors permanently. According to Fobes.com, the Foo Fighters frontman, Dave
Grohl, stated that the independent stages are not only culturally important, but
emotionally important also.
“The smaller music venues are the ones that are really struggling and are not
only culturally important, they are emotionally important,”
The Foo Fighters are going to headline the event. Moreover, the event is a
three-day livestream starting Friday, October 16th, and it will be going on
throughout the weekend. However, throughout the livestream, the viewers are
encouraged to donate to the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund which will help benefit
Independent venues that are in peril. Also, it is hosted by Reggie Watts, and all
performances will be available on demand after their initial run.
