Anyways, this latest news is quite doozy as news came out about singer-songwriter as well as a Nobel prize holder, Bob Dylan, selling his entire music catalog to Universal Music publishing that was sold at over an estimated $495,000 and is now worth well around $300 million.
According to Rollingstone, Dylan has had control over his songwriting copyrights throughout his career, and the new deal consists of over 600 songs from his most recent release, “Rough and Rowdy Ways”. Universal music had negotiated the deal with Dylan himself. Moreover, it is also possibly the most prized in the music industry.
CBS news states that Dylan’s songs have been recorded more than 6,000 times by artists from all around the world which included Jimi Hendrix’s version of “All Along the Watchtower.”
Well anyways, that’s all the news for now. Until then, stay in school, keep warm, and enjoy your holidays! Peace out and Happy Holidays!
