According to billboard.com, Snoop paid a tribute to his friend and fellow rapper while stopping by on the Today Show which aired on April 16th. Fans praised the “Verzuz” battle between Snoop and DMX as one of the last celebrations of Ruff Ryder’s music legacy, and snippets of the battle were shown.
"Love u brother. C u when I get there," Snoop wrote under one of the videos, and he added in, "What they thought was a battle ended up being a family reunion. Of 2 Doggs who loved everything about each other, thank U. X for loving me back."
