This latest news goes out to all you fans of 90s boy bands as the Backstreet Boys have come back together and they’re planning to perform a Christmas-themed residency at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos theater in Las Vegas for 12 nights.

According to People.com, the boy band will be hitting the stage beginning on November 11th-14th as well as the 18th, 20th and 21st and return again on December 16th, 18th, 19th, 22nd and wrap it up on the 23rd.

The group put out this statement:

“We just want you to know… A VERY BACKSTREET CHRISTMAS PARTY: our Limited Las Vegas Engagement is coming this November and December!!!”

According to Loudwire.com, the band has announced the first two dates for their upcoming farewell tour. However, the final run does not come to a surprise to the Whitesnake fans as they have been keeping tabs on Coverdale over the last year as he mentioned the idea of a farewell tour multiple times in the recent past. The idea had been roaming around for awhile until Coverdale stated about having loose intentions on bringing things to a conclusion sometime this year, but things got pushed back due to the pandemic.

Trivium Frontman Tested Positive for Covid

This latest news is quite intense as Trivium frontman, Matt Heafy was tested positive for Covid-19.

Pennsylvanianewstoday.com stated that the Trivium frontman was vaccinated and compared his symptoms to a “tour cold”.

He stated this:

“Thankfully, I felt like a cold because I was vaccinated, but my dad got sick without the vaccine and had a very bad recovery with lung / heart / liver problems. ..

“I’ll be fine in a day or two. (Sic)”

Yes Frontman Announces Tour

This latest news involves any Yes fans out there as the original frontman of Yes, Jon Anderson, has announced a tour with the Paul Green Rock Academy.

According to Rollingstone, the 11-city tour kicks off on July 30th in Patchogue, New York, and wraps it up on August 20th in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. A press release said that the show will feature “a set of Yes classics, deep cuts, mashups, and solo works all with lush arrangements.”

The Paul Green Rock Academy is an outgrowth of the Paul Green school of Rock music which had inspired the 2003 film, “School of Rock”

According to Pennsylvanian News today, guitarist, David Keuning, revealed that the hit maker recorded in collaboration with Brandon Flowers along with the concept LP to be released this year. The musician stated,

“Many of these songs were ready for recording, so I went in and played the guitar.

It was fun because I came up with some ideas for the songs that I actually worked on and made the records for.”

Elton John Announces Final Tour

Today’s news goes out to all you Elton John fans out there as Elton John himself has announced the North American leg of his final tour known as the “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour which will take place in 2022.

Rollingstone stated that the new dates will kick off at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on July 15th and will conclude with two nights in Los Angeles, CA on November 19th and 20th. Make sure you get those tickets as tickets went on sale on June 30th. The tour was postponed due to the pandemic, but make-up dates were announced including 30 Stadium shows along with a run of performances in Europe before coming back to North America.

Sweetwater Opens New Music Store

This latest news for all you aspiring and professional musicians out there as a new Sweetwater music store has opened up in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

According to insideindianabusiness.com, the retailer stated that the new store is more than three times its size of its previous store which results in more jobs. Sweetwater in general stated that the 44,000 square foot store includes separate demo rooms for all categories of instruments. Moreover, they added that it’s band and orchestra retailer, Mynett Music, has moved from its independent location to the news store, being rebranded as “Sweetwater Band and Orchestra”.

AFI Announces 2022 US Tour

Consequence.net stated that the band is kicking off the tour on February 11th of 2022 at SOMA in San Diego and will hit most US major markets before ending it on March 25th in Los Angeles, CA. AFI is headlining the tour with support of the band, Cold Cave, which will be along for the 26 date outing. Tickets for AFI’s 2022 US tour went on sale on June 23rd from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm via Ticketmaster, so hope you guys have your tickets purchased and ready to go once the tour kicks off.

Vince Neil Steps off Stage during Festival

According to CNN, Neil’s solo band had headlined at the Boone River Valley Festival where he performed many Mötley Crue classics. Unfortunately, many fans were not impressed as there was some beefing about Neil forgetting the lyrics as well as his voice not being in the best shape. While 14 songs in, Neil began to perform “Girls Girls Girls”, but that was when his voice gave out. Neil had apologized to the crowd stating that “It’s been a long time playing.” He added that his voice is “gone” before saying his last words and then leaves the stage in the middle of the song.

Spotify Launches New Feature

According to nme.com, the feature was launched back on June 2nd, and it was described by Spotify as being “all about creating how you listen.” It creates six new lists which show your music organized according to a number of new categories. Spotify stated this statement:

“Your Moon sign demonstrates an artist you listen to that best shows your emotional or vulnerable side. Your Rising sign brings it all together with an artist you’ve recently connected with.”

In addition, the hosted playlists on Pandora are the first of the new initiatives to launch.

"To all our loyal fans, we wanted to let you know that we learned today that the tour is getting moved to 2022. This is the only way to ensure that we can play ALL of the dates for ALL of you who have purchased tickets. Singer and Model Nick Kamen Passes

Anyways, this latest news is another devastating story as Model and singer, Nick Kamen has passed away at only 59 years old.

nme.com stated that his death was confirmed back on May 4th where he passed away in his home in west London due to a long term illness. Boy George and Duran Duran had paid their tributes and respects to Kamen on Instagram.

George described Kamen as “the most beautiful and sweetest man.” While Duran Duran bassist John Taylor wrote: “So so sad to hear of the passing of Nick Kamen. One of the loveliest and gentlest men I ever met. He was a beloved friend to my daughter and her mom. We shall miss him. RIP Nick.”

He will forever be missed.
